Hmm im trying to figure out your meaning..im taking it like this: some new guy says all the things an ex-boyfriend said so your not fooled because "youve heard it all before"

My view is quite different compared to brokeninside...hmmm....what I figured when I read this poem is : you're bored listening to your beloved keep on repeating the same things that he or your ex had said before...because of his busy-ness you felt that he kinda abandoned you and he didn't spend as much time and effort as he did in last time to make some new suprises for you and make you happy...so its kinda like the love is fading away by bit and bit.

Ehhh.... that's just my view not mean to cursing or anything...anyway I can feel the love in a kinda sad way and you're hoping more from your beloved one from the poem.

I really like it... those lines you have written are typical things guys like to say to women and well most of us do believe it.. as corny as they are sometimes... I love how every stanza ends with "But, I've heard it all before."

It's like the last stanza always goes back to reality.

I can really relate to this. My ex use to tell me all these things but never backs up his words, that is why we're not together anymore. I'm sure every guy has told this to their gf and it's hard to tell which ones are telling the truth...5/5 (:
