For a friend close and dear,
How I wish you where near.
Far away, miles apart,
Nothing compares for the way I truly feel.

From the very start
Our hearts connected.
Lovers we once were,
But friends forever more.

There is an ache still residing
Every time we speak.
Left hanging on to your every word,
Wishing we could once again be.

My love for you still lingers,
There is no doubt entangled.
Wishing you were once again mine
To love and cherish forever.
