I didn't want to leave.
Forever spent in your arms,

But that didn't work for you,
I guess I didn't fit in your life.
Maybe I fit perfectly in your arms,
Just no longer than one night.

I wish that I could call you,
But even if you answered,
I wouldn't know what to say.
God knows there's so much
That if I got you to listen, I'd explain.

But I guess I scared you off,
Cause now you know the truth,
And it's been the longest two months,
Since the night I told you I loved you.

If I'd known you'd walk away,
Put both our feelings on the shelf.
Maybe I'd have keep my mouth shut,
