Wild Horses

by Kail

I watched you lay there on the bed
A sweet, sleepy smile on your face.
That was the moment I fell in love
I never wanted to leave that place.

You held my hand in yours so soft
Your voice sounding so bright
As I crawled in bed beside you
And whispered goodnight.

You pulled my hand over and put it
On your heart, beating so fast
I laid my head on your chest
Wanting this moment to last.

And as you kissed my forehead,
You whispered, "I love you so."
I smiled and told you,
"I love you more than you'll ever know."

As I laid there beside you,
I listened to everthing you had to say
And I came to realize that
Wild horses couldn't drag me away...
