there's nothing I can do

all I seem to see is you
every time you're near
I'm wishing you're mine
and every time you're not
I'm dreaming of you until the end of time
I feel like I'm floating on air
I never felt this way before
and with each passing day
I want you more and more
but what I want can't ever happen
because of what we are
and as close as we may be
we'll stay just as far
