Entwined [Villanelle]

by Cella Bella

With all my sorrows, I leave behind
With each caress, they burst in flames
Alas our souls become entwined

Tears I've cried, so undefined
With your embrace, my spirit I've reclaimed
With all my sorrows, I leave behind

In my dreams it is you I find
Uncertainty and worry left maimed
Alas our souls become entwined

In my heart you stay, enshrined
I'll take all that you are, never shamed
With all my sorrows, I leave behind

My heart I have kept confined
Your love and trust gently framed
Alas our souls become entwined

For only me, were you designed
This passion, of what love was named
With all my sorrows, I leave behind
Alas our souls become entwined

*This is my second attempt at a villanelle. This isn't my best, but it's also the first thing I've written in over a year.
