I Do

by PoetryKnight

I have seen you
Through angels eyes.
I know you are true.
Angels don't show lies.

I think of you
when we first met.
you went swimming
I fell in and got wet.

You saved me from drowning
And gave me a kiss.
Later we walked some miles
laughing and talking of bliss.

You looked at me
With eyes of blue,
And from that point on
I thought of you.

A couple weeks later
We decided to date.
I made a bad impression
By showing up late.

You laughed with a smile
And said it was cool.
You told me your weak
For a guys whose a fool.

We went out for food
At a fancy dinning.
From behind our table
A little kid went whining.

We got up and left,
We paid our bill,
We took home the doggy bags,
And we had our fill.

I dropped you off
At your mansion of a house.
Standing next to it
Made me look like a mouse.

You called me that night
Tears in your eyes.
I couldn't tell what you said
Between you heart wrenching cries.

We then meet at your house,
And you tell me a tale,
About how you are sick,
And how your heart will fail.

I began to cry,
But you told me don't.
You wanted me happy
But you know I won't.

The day after next
I decided to do
To get down on one knee
And pour out what is true.

"Will you be mine
Till death do us part"
The look in her eyes
She cried from the heart.

She smiled at me
With words so true.
I looked up to her
To hear her say "I do."
