Awakening

by Groovydude

When you found me I was delighted,
When we spoke I was excited,
When I saw you my heart ignited,
When you stopped I was destroyed.

You left a hole in my sole
That no one else could control
You filled me with happiness
I thought I would never know

Then to my surprise
You took the light from my eyes
Leaving me dark and silent
Only wanting to cry

Then after some time
When I thought I was better
You sent me a note
Worse than a dear john letter

Not a how are you
Or how have you been
Just an insult to my life
Showing me again

How it was all about you
I was your cushion
Just another sucker
Your problems you`d be pushin

As I look at myself now
Without you in my life
I can see happiness
Maybe a wife

So goodbye to you
As you are in my past
I like this new feeling
Praying forever it will last
