A Dream

by Ellis

I dream
That we will
speak beneath
a stream of
autumn, red,
yellow and burnt
orange leaves wet
off the cuff of
Jack Frost's sleeve
and fireworks,
celestial dandelions,
raining sparks upon our dance,
your arms around my neck as
our boy and girl prance,
tumbling in the grass with their games
and we laugh,
our promised love delivered

and untamed...
