You know i love you.
But it's time for me to step on my heart.
I have lost many people in this life.
And I've become a master at this art.

I even put your interest before mine.
God knows what i went through for your sake.
When i kept telling you i was perfectly fine.

Don't get me wrong i really still do.
But reality is so different from what i dreamed you'd be.
I finally saw the other part of you.

I'm afraid i cannot throw all of my dreams.
For a man who wants me as a slave.
I am not one to give in to love's prison.
Even though it is love that i badly crave.

But you do know i love you.
That is why i have to set you free.
You're a good man and i know it.
But you just have to let me be.

I'll step on my heart even though i badly miss your love.
