Rockwell Paintings

by Ellis

Gently she says, gently
Take my hand and
Feet by feet we stride
Into our day
Thankfully complete
Two hearts, one love
Jack Frost, her mittens, my gloves

Sunlighting leaves red and gold,
The morning is a promise yet to unfold
The ground warming under our toes
And this girl, stirring kindness into my world...
