Perhaps its the mystery in your gaze
and the charm in your smile
that has lured me ever so close
though i stand uselessly in denial

I reject my true feelings for him
knowing that pain will not spare me
But then again, why should it?
Its never forgiven nor forgotten

My emotions try to break me.
With memories I stand my ground.
Its killing me to hold back
but I know you wont always be around

I refuse to be left brokenhearted
yet I fear I can not contain myself.
The truth is slipping from my lips
as I realize its only a matter of time.
