My Musical Inspiration

I wish life was as easy as playing this guitar
because right now I'm not getting very far
I wish love was as easy as they make it seem in a song
If it was i would be singing for you to love me for so long
Why cant my heart beat like the steadiness of a bass
instead when I'm around you it has to race
As i play this chord and read the next line
I think about you and wish that you were mine
I'm making up a song
I'm writing it for you
I have loved you for so long
but you have decided that we're through
I used to love to watch you play your bass
the way you swung it back and forth with grace
In my eyes you were the best musician
Now to me you will not listen
I want you to know that when I pick up this guitar
I play for you
because of you my love for music has only grew
You inspired me to do what i want
For another man like you i will forever hunt
