I belong to you

~I wrote this poem awhile back. And it would mean a lot to mean if you voted and commented because I don't write love poems very often and when I do I think they turn out bad. So thanks.~

Everybody needs to belong somewhere
Life can be so lonely without someone to care
When life becomes something to just get through
That's when I'm glad I belong to you

Sometimes life gives us to much we can't bear it alone
And you start to have days that you can't stand on your own
You start to believe there's nothing you can do
That's when I'm glad you surround me and show me I belong to you

Life has gone on and you have no where to run anymore
Your all alone, you have nothing to live for
Letting go of the memories you held on to
That's when I'm glad you remind me that I belong to you

Some days you may take harsh blows from all around
Everyone watches as you fall and hit the ground
You lay broken not knowing what to do
That's when I'm glad you pick me up and tell me I belong to you

Your hurt you can't handle and it would flow over to a knife
You write on your arm you want to give up your life
You would hide it so no one ever knew
That's when I'm glad you say no matter what I'd still belong to you

Every moment with you started to repair my heart that was shattered
For the first time in my life I felt like I actually mattered
You have truly proved to me that our love is true
So now everyday I just love to say I belong to you...
