Let's run away together
Leave this city behind
Deceitful with its tainted beauty
Where artificial light does shine

We'll go someplace far
Where nothing can go wrong
Maybe we'll be there soon
If we travel all night long

This God-forsaken city
Will soon be out of sight
Maybe then we will be happy
And can stay together tonight

But that city still haunts you
With all the things they lack
And even though we shouldn't
We always seem to go back
