The Eternal Vow

by IdTakeABulletForYou

Thine eyes burst clouds of white and blue;
a passion which I never knew.
I dreamt of all; I found you, love,
and dreams I never had dreamed of.

I take this pledge to hold your heart
--a love of which shall not depart.
Your soul shall fuel, thine heart shall fill;
and our love is length'd at will.

Thy heart shall never near demise,
Nor shall I ever tend detest;
I'll cherish the heart that I hold in these hands;
I shall not be the finest, but I'll do my best.

A dream we live, a dream we'll be;
forever we'll live peacefully.
A simple existence twined softly and purely;
Eternally blissful. Eternity: Surely.

And even buried in the ground,
we'll be the love that did surround;
It will not wither, ne'er shall die;
this love I shall not jeopardize.

I'll make sure I tend to this love,
and hope for bloom seasonally.
When all goes wrong, we still shall love;
When all goes wrong, you'll be with me.

This vow is inked in gold on parchment
that shall never burn nor tear.
All the future holds is us;
We've searched so long, we're almost there.

I vow to take you as my own,
to kiss thy lips, precious and treasured.
Always ever, I shall vow
to bear a love that can't be measured.

Here, upon this moment...
Here, standing alone,
I vow to, the next instant,
stand with you forevermore.

Our hands are good as fastened;
Our signatures are signed.
I vow, this very second,
to entwine your soul with mine.
