If I Choose To Let You In

by IdTakeABulletForYou

Can't let myself fall too fast
-- I'm scared that I'll get hurt.
I love you more that I can say
but can we make this work?

I'm willing to try this and see
just if we both are meant to be;
But if I give you rope, I know
I'll let you have it all
-- I'll fall.
Will you be there below?

It isn't like I hate you
-- I just love you so much
that if you ever broke me down
I never would get up.

You're like a dream come true to me,
but I'm still sorta timid;
If I let you in my heart,
would you break or fill it?

I want to be assured by you
just what you will and will not do;
I want you to say you'll love me
--that you'll hold me eternally.

I'm scared you're gonna let me go,
my heart's so weak from times it broke.
I don't think I can take the pain
of loving you in only vain.

You've got to say you're really real
--that nobody can near compare
to what I stand for, what I am
and with me all your life you'll share
without a doubt and with no fear.
{Promise you will stay right here}

So if you want me falling
you have got to prove you're true;
If you want my heart
you've got to turn it red from blue.
If you want me as your man
you have to promise to remain
with only me; Please, only me,
that with me you will stay.

I must admit I'm almost falling,
Hanging on by just a thread;
Scared you won't be down below me
if I choose to let you in.
