I Need a Friend

All I want is to be your friend,
Someone to hold until the very end,
I need a person to love and cherish,
Until that day I perish.

Are you that special someone?
Do you exist under this sun?
I'd love to have a friend so dear,
A person who would wipe every tear.

I wish we could be buds,
As they say "Buds before studs,"
So right now I need someone to guide me,
Only one person holds the key.
