Omelet?

Woke up this morning with great expectations
Quickly got dressed without hesitation
Combed my hair and put on my boots
Down the hallway with a 'woot woot'
Ran to the table and when I sat down
My ear to ear smile turned into a frown
Expecting pancakes and what did I get
Whole wheat toast and a veggie omelet
