Electric Kiss

I never fully understood
the meaning of the word
safe until you held me in
your arms for the first time,

at that point I knew God existed.

I can feel lightning strikes
my heart whenever we would
kiss and the sound of thunder
echoes throughout my body.

I've always loved that sound.

The vibrations run beneath
my skin and time ceases to exist
whenever you are near me.

They say that lightning never strikes
the same place twice, but in this case

I welcome it.
