She Waits For The Rainbow

by C Cattaway

Time and tide wait for no man.
Well wade a little further,
Because she's worth the trouble,
If you listen. Have you heard her?

She sits in silence, wistfully
Forgiving all who shunned her.
She waits for rainbows, hopefully,
Even when there is thunder.

She never gives up, til she's rung
The last ounce of believing.
She gave her heart, and help, and strength,
Even while they were leaving.

Don't wait to see what happens.
Give her one last smile to hold.
She'll surprise you with how she loves.
She'll be your pot of gold.
