A Verse Full Of Love (English Sonnet)

If words are not enough to melt your heart,
Then ev'ry kiss I place is wasted still,
For I cannot, with simple love, impart
The message from within my beating quill.
At times, the act of love is far too trite
To quite convey the feelings that I own;
And so I try to set this flame alight
With words that I have nurtured and have sown.
So please accept my love, if through a page,
For all the ink you see is drops of blood;
My words are all I have to break your cage -
My pen is all I have to quell the flood.
If you should find my kiss is not enough,
Then understand my verse is full of love.
