A Message Left Behind
by Walter
She wrote out her name
On the sand where we walk
Around my foot prints
With a branch for her chalk
I then asked her why
My prints were in between
The letters of her name
It made me look mean
She smiled and she said
My interpretation is wrong
Your footprints are exactly
Where they belong
Again I looked back
To see what she said
And told her it looked like
I ignored what's ahead
She said to look closer
Again with a grin
You don't step on letters
As I've let you in
Now when I look
And smile when I know
I worked out the message
That she tries to show
Suddenly she's glowing
It's now I clearly see
She let me walk into her life
As we were meant to be
