Darkness Greets the Eye
by FTS Miles
Darkness greets the eye
Furtive, alert in awareness,
Sensing a distant proximity,
A presence despite absence.
Beneath questing fingers
A heart pulses mercury,
And the salt of breast, hard peak,
Tangs the happy tongue,
Whilst a garden fragrance surrounds
A sigh of arcing softness, flesh,
A thigh, a belly, a tender moan
Leading to the shards of your Light,
Blue against the black of night.
A soul drips into merger
Too easily beneath the promptings
Of the unknown,
Yet I am left loving with my thoughts,
Dreaming you were truly here....
