Distracted

by Amanda Bee

I told myself that I would just avoid looking at you
WouldnΓÇÖt allow you to use your charms on me
But I got distracted by your stunning eyes
And then they were all that I could see

I told myself that if you tried to entice me
With sweet words, IΓÇÖd just close my ears
But I got distracted by your deep voice
And then it was all that I could hear

I told myself that I would be strong
And I swore I would not fall in love
But I got distracted by your amazing smile
And then it was all that I could think of

I told myself that IΓÇÖd stay away from you
WouldnΓÇÖt come near you too much
But I got distracted by your soft lips
And then all I could feel was your gentle touch

I told myself that I would resist you this time
I figured IΓÇÖd know just what to do
But I got distracted by your tender kiss
And then all I could hope for was you

I can't explain my body's reaction
I canΓÇÖt seem to contain this fierce attraction
And when IΓÇÖm with you I lose control
Because you're my weakness, my one distraction
