Every night I go to sleep
In hopes that I will meet
That tall dark stranger
Who visits late in the night
But never with sense of danger

He’s like my knight in shining armor
I never have to be afraid
Tall, dark and handsome
Nothing like anyone I know
Full of knowledge and wisdom
His face he will never show

With his scent so familiar
It drives me wild
And a touch so unforgettable
It gives me an instant smile

My reality has changed so it seems
I feel like I’m awake in a dream
Now I have a face for the shadow
And a name for the soul
I could never ask for more

And if I keep you in my heart
We will never be apart
No matter how many miles between us
You always make me feel like a princess
