Broken wings of a moribund dove,
Symbolizes hopes gone astray.

Sequestered spirits on this island,
Recovering from the cuts inside.
Trying hardest to comprehend,
Love is a façade of many lies.

Poignancy of the aching hearts,
Contrite for human emotions.
Mendacity from the far start,
Lies of a forever devotion.

Broken saccharine smiles,
Metamorphosis of tainted love.
Patience is worth the while,
Fly away angelic dove.
