The Absence of You
Eyes closed so tight,
Flashing glimpses of you,
Eyes open, not in sight,
Oh how I miss your view.
To the horizon fade,
Minute in size and shape,
Oh how I wish I'd stayed,
Under the mountain scape.
Miss your touch so soft,
Your arms' warm embrace,
I would hold you aloft,
Bask at your beauty and grace.
Yearn for your sweetest kiss,
Lips so ripe and plump,
Wonderful, that time of bliss,
Faster, my heart does thump.
For now I will have to wait,
To be with you once more,
Let's not leave it up to fate,
For it's you that I adore.
