My first love i did not know,
was someone off a talent show.
my stomach started doing knots,
because i knew i loved him lots.

i wanted to kiss and hold him tight,
i wanted to be with him all night.
i'd dream of days we'd spend together,
i always thought we were forever.

until one day he said to me,
iv'e found another personality.
but after that i loved him more,
because he was truthful and said it before.

but i just had to accept fate,
he just wants to be my mate.
so here i am again today,
he's got someone else, he's gone
away.

so here i am dreaming again,
for my true love, not just my friend.
