This Beautiful Disaster
by Sarah Ann
Tears would gently brush my cheeks
And take away my laughter
He was beautiful,
But my heart forbade
That beautiful disaster
As the days blanketed malice fears
My nights were filled with sorrow
He was beautiful,
But I often wondered,
If he'd be beautiful tomorrow.
And as the power overtook me
I knew then, everything I'd lose
He was beautiful,
And my soul challenged
If his beauty portrayed truth.
Alas the tears still brush my cheeks
And steal away my laughter
He's so beautiful,
But my heart forbids...
This beautiful disaster.
