Stuck in the past, caught in a net
My broken heart has not given up yet
Yearning for you, crying at night
Trapped in the dark, fighting for light..

Emotions tied tight, impossible to retreat
My brain waiting for my heart to delete
Jumbled thoughts flow through my mind
A safe, peaceful place they must find..

Please God relieve me of this pain
And pour all these feelings down the drain
Free me from the past, untangle this net
For another man I have met..
