Union of Souls

by Misstress

By the moon dappled water
her smile
illuminates a garden.
Circling warmth
as it traces
the lines which are about
to intertwine.

As the bells warbles
pensive notes,
a melody uncoiling
with every beat of my heart,
every step she makes,
closer now
to where I stand,
breathless.

As cold breeze
stirred the bland air,
her brown hair breathes life,
tangled with
soft Lilac petals
her skin glistened,
wafting
through the pathway,
the altar and into
my heart.

Gently
as I reach for her hand,
the creaking sound
of a new door opening,
together now,
our first step we make,
closer now
to evermore.
