No one else has ever before
The way you look into my eyes
Like it's me who you adore

You've been there through it all
And you kissed away my pain
You held me when I needed it
And shone brightly through the rain

You could always make me laugh
When all I wanted to do was cry
You held my hand tightly
As I watched an old love die

Somewhere between it all
We somehow fell for one another
But we have to fight this feeling
To make it easier on the other

Our feelings have been obvious
But we can be nothing but friends
