Ive boxed up all emotions
To be sheltered is the goal
Steel walls Ive built around me
To defend my beaten soul

My heart must be protected
From the road that lies ahead
My eyes must be prepared to see
The image that I dread

For if its unexpected
Then I wont know what to do
The tears Ive hidden will reveal
