Leap of Faith

Close my eyes and reminisce,
How sweet to be in memories bliss.
Time untainted with hurt and lies,
Time before the tears I've cried.
Fought my hardest, at all cost.
Now sorrowed by all we've lost.

A leap of faith I took with you,
And then received a love untrue.
I will forgive but never forget,
Giving you my all, I do regret.
Time was wasted, lesson learned.
Don't give your faith, unless it's earned.
